A graduate of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco, Alex Fraim's introduction to Yoga first came when he unsuspectingly took a Yoga class while in college and quickly discovered the benefits, possibilities and beauty of the profound art. Soon afterwards he developed a dedicated personal practice and later became more interested in both the teaching and the therapeutic aspects of Yoga. Alex has studied with many teachers over the years but his primary teachers have been Ramanand Patel and Manouso Manos. Alex has been to Pune, India to study at the Iyengar Institute, and he periodically teaches workshops in Germany. Among his areas of experience and specialization are working with the elderly population and the use of props.

An active artist (primarily drawing and painting) since a young age, he holds a degree in Fine Arts and finds much of his inspiration in the world of art, music and literature. He has also been profoundly influenced by the teachings of J. Krishnamurti. Since 2000 he has worked professionally as a graphic designer. Alex is also currently a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist Intern at the California College of Ayurveda.
